"Stereo Hearts" is a song by American group Gym Class Heroes featuring Adam Levine, lead singer of band Maroon 5. The song was first released on June 14, 2011.[2] as the lead single from the group's fifth studio album, The Papercut Chronicles II (2011).

Music video - Gym Class Heroes drummer Matt McGinley explained that the song's music video "basically plays on the idea that we're sort of just being casual, hanging out, being ourselves and our shadows get wild and get loose. The video shows the band playing in the city of New York and their shadows are playing on the ground."[7]

The video has the feel of a 1980s setting, with a breakdancer and several payphones seen, though the actual setting is modern as evidenced by the Mini Cooper in one scene. It prominently features a pawn shop with a stack of old-fashioned boomboxes and TV sets, on which Adam Levine appears when he is singing the chorus.

The Virginmarys are a three-piece rock band from the North of England. The band formed in 2006 and will release their debut album King of Conflict on Wind Up Records in February 2013.[1][2]

The band formed in Macclesfield in 2006, following the demise of a previous band, For Tomorrows. The band spent much of their early years touring extensively - they first played the Download festival in 2010, and have toured as support act to Slash, Terrorvision, Skunk Anansie, Eagles of Death Metal, The View, Ash, Feeder and We are scientists, as well as playing their own headline gigs.[3] The band released a series of self-financed E.P.'s during this period, and recorded their first mini-album in 2010. Cast The First Stone was produced by Toby Jepson and mixed by Mike Fraser.[4][5]

In late 2011 the band,[6] started work on their debut full-length album, again with Toby Jepson as producer (Chris Sheldon mixed the album), and continued to tour. The debut album, titled King of Conflict was released on 4th February 2013.

RDGLDGRN (pronounced Red Gold Green) is an American band based out of Washington, DC that was formed in 2011. The band recorded their debut album at Sound City Studios in 2012 with producer Kevin Augunas and engineer Clif Norrell. They have worked with a wide range of notable musicians, including Dave Grohl and Pharrell Williams. In June 2012, the demo recording of "I Love Lamp" was used as the theme song for the world record Hot Wheels Double Loop Dare at the 2012 X Games in Los Angeles, California.[7][8] In January 2013, British magazine NME released "Million Fans."[9] Days later, Rolling Stone released "I Love Lamp" with Dave Grohl on drums.[10] The Red Gold Green EP was debuted February 12, 2013 and reached the top 100 on the American iTunes album chart.[11]

Bruno Mars came up with the lyrical concept for "Billionaire" during a trip to London in which he was given £240 ($350) by his record label to spend for 11 days. He found the amount of money to be insufficient, and explained "We were like, 'Is this the biggest mistake we've ever made? We thought we were broke in California; what are we going to do here?' So we've got no money, and I'm walking the streets and came up with, 'I wanna be a billionaire, so freakin' bad.'"[6] With the song, McCoy intended to avoid "superficial" lyrics in the wake of an economic recession, and added "There’s something to sing about here; if I was in the position to have a ridiculous amount of money, would I be selfish or selfless?’ I just took that concept and ran with it."[7]

The music video was filmed in Los Angeles, California and was first broadcast on MtvU on May 6, 2010. It begins with Mars playing a guitar whilst sitting on a wall at Venice Beach and singing the opening chorus. The scene switches to McCoy rapping while driving a Mini Cooper with Mars in the passenger seat. Throughout the video, McCoy is shown helping four people, as well as one large group at the end. The first thing he does is give a guy a new skateboard after he broke his own in half; the second is buying an unknown, aspiring artist's CD; the third is getting out of the Mini Cooper and giving the keys to a teenager trying to hitchhike to New York and the fourth is giving a graffiti artist some more spray paint after his ran out. The video then switches to Venice Beach, where the group in question run dry on beer in their cooler, but McCoy and Mars come in and hand out more beers to restore life to the party. Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz can also be seen in the video riding on the back of a scooter with McCoy.

Only six months ago, the Alabama Shakes’ lead singer was working as a postal worker. Beware of Darkness is an American alternative rock band consisting of vocalist/guitarist Kyle Nicolaides, bassist Daniel Curcio, and drummer Tony Cupito.

Beware of Darkness formed in 2010 after Kyle Nicolaides met Tony Cupito at one of Kyle's shows in downtown Los Angeles. The two began playing shows with various bass players until they met Daniel Curcio, who was visiting Santa Monica after finding out he had a long lost half brother living there. Not long after solidifying the lineup, Nicolaides signed a record deal with the San Francisco Bay Area based label Bright Antenna Records and began opening up shows for punk rock legends Social Distortion as well as touring with internationally acclaimed indie act The Wombats.

Howl is the debut EP by American alt-rock band Beware of Darkness, released April 17, 2012 under exclusive license to Bright Antenna Records.[1] The album was made available as a Digital Download, and CD available only at shows.[2]

SPIN Magazine declared the lead single, "Howl", "[a] Zeppelin-riffing, bluesy face-stomper."[3]
