OPTIONS

The Ganymede system offers many facilities while playing. This offers a player more fun with our online bridge.

First of all, when opening a new game it is worth having a look at the four buttons under Game Management. The first and the last one will switch between different interface settings, question mark takes you to this help section (but you probably know that, if you are already here :>). The X button allows a player to close applet and leave the game.

TABLE CREATION

In this menu, you log in as a new player. That means you Create New Table and appear as a host. Then you have many privileges - you can change table parameters while playing, choose minimum bet for the table, also boot and invite. If you want to join an existing table, simply click Join, whilst by pressing Watch, you will log in as an observer. In both cases, you will not be authorized to use any hosting options - at least until someone gives you the hosting privilege.

TABLE PARAMS

You can choose whether you want to play on Private table when no viewer or "outside" player is allowed and the only way to gain an opponent is to invite someone to the game or Public table when viewers and unknown players are allowed.

Notation is a point counting system. In a game there is the possibility of switching between the most popular among Bridge players four options - Standard, Chicago, Imp and Old-Polish.

When you want to draw cards with other players only, with no peeking eyes you can choose No watchers options.

You can also choose No invitations - when this option is set, a player automatically does not accept any suggestions of invitations.

You can turn on/off Audio alert, which means disabling sound.

INTERFACE

You can change the game interface, by clicking its picture. When it is not present, you can Download it. Of course, during the download, the game can go on. While playing on a small interface, all interfaces except the large ones can be changed while playing. And, of course, while playing on a large interface, the small ones will be inaccessible. If you have opened more than one navigator with Bridge, the download is possible only from the first opened one.

GAME CONTROLS (Only in game window)

Contract presents the trump suit and the bid number.

Convention Card contains the information about the system and convention which are used by a selected pair. For further info refer to CONVENTIONS section.

If you want to leave the game, you can inform your opponents and partner about it by clicking StandUp. When you want to return to the game, you can do it by clicking Sit, of course if this place is still unoccupied.

When all players click Start Game, the game begins.

Stop Game temporarily freezes game. All players must agree.

Clear Notation removes all points from the score sheet.

Using the Get all tricks option, a player declares that his pair is able to take the rest of tricks available in game. Opponents must agree to that.

Using the Get my tricks option, a player informs his opponents that he is able to take number of tricks declared while bidding.

Last trick shows cards which were forwarded during the last trick.

Bidding opens the bidding window.

Notation opens the score sheet window.

PLAYERS IN ROOM

Only hosts can use three first options in this section.

Invite to game and Boot from game are the contrary options - the first one is used like this: simply select the person you want at the table and click the Invite to game button. If the player agrees (and does not have No invitations option set on), he will appear at the table.
When you do not want to play with the specified player, as a host you can always Boot him from game. But do not use this option too often - players may stop playing with you. Boot only when you have really important reason to do it.
Do you feel tired of being a host? You can always Transfer hosting to another player or even to a watcher. If you suddenly disconnect from the game, hosting privileges are transferred to the 1st player, who logged in the game after you.

UPDATE PARAMS

The Update on server This option is very useful for a table hosts. When a host finishes setting the table parameters, he must save this new configuration, by clicking on this option. Since then, the new settings work on table.

GAME STATUS

This window contains information about the elements of the last tricks and shows all bids.

HISTORY

This window contains entry of the latest deal, precisely showing all cards dealt in the game. The player who has won the trick is marked with a red suit. Above this window there is the number of tricks taken by every pair, agreement tricks, information about previous contract, above it is button which allows to save this data.
