GAMEPLAY

A small pack of 24 cards, from Nine to Ace is used to play the game. The value or suit of cards does not matter.

The game objective is to collect three cards of the same rank or suit.

Players are dealt three cards and the dealer is dealt four. The rest of cards are the face-down pile.

The dealer starts the game by passing the fourth card to the player on the left, clockwise.

The card received from the previous player can be passed to another player. But if the card returns to the player who passed it as the first, he or she is authorized to exchange it into the first card on the face-down pile. The exchanged cards create a separate face-down pile. If there are no cards on the face-down pile, the cards exchanged previously become the face-down pile to be exchanged; no shuffling.

The player who has three cards of the suit or rank can, but need not, say kuku while passing the fourth card to another player and showing the players his or her cards.

The game is continued between the remaining players.

GAME OVER

The game is over when there is only one player who does not have kuku (the set of three cards of the same suit or rank) remaining in the game.

If the one-before-last player says and shows kuku and then passes the fourth card to the last player and the last player says and shows kuku, the game is insoluble.
