• Onkis Tourney - A fine Tribute!

  I just wanna take a moment......

  What a really touching moment , the call for hush was in the main adhered to......while the Tribute to Ralf was typed in 3 languages...(yet another reminder of how many people he touched!!)

  So So many players there!  many tears would have wondered down many cheeks!

  Does that not measure the man......love, kisses, and farewells flooding the room chat, People who never met the man, People who wouldnt know what he looked like.....But people that loved him!!

  I would like to finish with my personal Thanks to Ian & Sammie for laying on a tribute tourney (one that they would have done with pride but would also have struggled to lay on im sure)

  I would like to send my love to all Ralf's family ...Please try not to be too sad....you were the luckiest of all of us...you really knew him!

  And my very final message is to "the man himself"  Thanks m8 for the time that I did know you....and Thanks for reminding me tonight why I dont play poker much these days.......I lost with yet another straight!!!   thats it Laugh!!

  The use of narcotic drugs is a relatively modern social problem, not because society has become aware of itself that the use of these substances leads to social problems and individual problems but rather because only today, the "vice" has acquired the physiognomy of "social phenomenon of the twentieth century.

  Somehow we are all involved, we know that drugs are around us. Some accepted economic, social and cultural and other penalties. Often not have sufficient knowledge about it, and like everything in life, ignorance leads to error, but the real problem facing modern society, not the substance itself but the use and abuse of these substances are made, creating daily million drug users worldwide, ranging from housewives who are hooked on barbiturates, spending by executives who abuse Prozac until delinquent junkie looking for "an ounce of madness."
  
  WHAT ARE DRUGS?
  
  The World Health Organization defines drugs as any substance which, introduced into the organism may modify one or more features of it. Capable of generating unit, for amendments and other responses that encourage taking the substance or substances in a sustained manner.
  
  TOLERANCE, DEPENDENCE AND DESIRE.
  
  Addictions are based on the desire, tolerance and dependence:
  
  Desire encourages consumption, born of memories of the good feeling that produces the drug or the expectation of continuing that well with certain behaviors. This desire can become invincible.
  
  Tolerance is a physiological fact: the body becomes accustomed to certain stimuli and fail to notice its effects can be developed relatively quickly.
  
  The unit can be:
  
  - Physics .- when the body requires the presence of a drug to ensure its operation without physical trauma.
  
  - Psychological .- Like physics exists but its effects are less
  
  spectacular.
  
  CLASSIFICATION AND EFFECTS OF DRUGS:
  
  1. Legal drugs.
  
  
  Legal drugs are those that are permitted by the Government. For its full availability and high social acceptance, are what cause most diseases, some of great economic and social costs.
  
  The start of consumption is based on social learning and family, like any other basic performance. But continued pressure from all communication channels exerts a strong influence to which we immunize.
  
  
  The snuff .- Obtained from a plant called Nicotiana tabacum. Annually consume four million tons of cigarettes. In Spain 71 million a day and cause some 40,000 deaths a year.
  
  The alkaloid nicotine is the addiction and subsequently creates dependency. Besides this, inhale other carcinogens: Labrea, tar paper, carbon monoxide ...
  
  These are responsible for diseases such as bronchitis, lung cancer, larynx, lips, tongue, breast, heart attacks, strokes, etc..
  
  The Xanthias .- They are both stimulants Central Nervous System and the vitality.
  
  Adults tend to take 200mg of caffeine per day into products such as coffee, tea, cocoa, some sweets and soft drinks.
  
  The abuse causes insomnia, tachycardia, anxiety, diarrhea and heartburn, increases heart rate and breathing.
  
  Tea contains 50 mg of caffeine per cup and coffee 85 mg. This drug is also found in chocolate, colas and other soft drinks, some of which are reinforced with up to 50 mg of caffeine in every bottle.
  
  
  .- The alcohol is obtained from certain plants by fermentation and other chemical processes. Ethyl alcohol is dissolved in the liquid of alcohol in different proportions along with other substances that make up the color, flavor and aroma that we appreciate in these drinks.
  
  It is considered a drug by its features additive, since it produces tolerance, dependence and withdrawal.
  
  When we take a large amount of alcohol accumulates in the blood throughout the body intoxicating for many hours, until completely eliminated.
  
  .- Sedatives are used medically to reduce anxiety or help you sleep and if used at high doses can cause coma and even death.
  
  Small doses produce a sense of calm and relaxation of muscles and slightly larger amounts cause disturbances in mental clarity, speech difficulties and loss of normal reflexes.
  
  2. Illegal drugs.
  
  And illegal drugs are not allowed by the government and therefore its use is not legal.
  
  The fact that some drugs are prohibited, despite its popularity arouses interest especially for people rebel. Drugs acquired a symbolic value and become a fairly simple yet very self-destructive to express discontent.
  
  
  Opiates .- It has a powerful capability of addiction.
  
  Heroin is synthesized from morphine, is taken intravenously and sometimes nasal inhaled as dust.
  
  You buy on the street called "pushers, addicts (junkies) tend to spend 20,000 pesetas. per day to maintain their addiction.
  
  The removal of the drug produces anxiety, vomiting, insomnia, ramps, breathing difficulties, violence, gooseflesh, dilated pupils ... and the effects of intoxication are euphoria and sedation, the language is confusing, decreased coordination and attention .
  
  
  Amphetamines .- It is used to decrease appetite, their use overdrive hyperactivity.
  
  Its abuse leads to feelings of persecution and is addictive, dependence and tolerance.
  
  
  Cocaine .- It is a synthetic substance in the form of white powder that is inhaled through the nose and a feeling of comfort, excitement and euphoria. Tiredness disappears and changes in perception and pseudo hallucinations, increased heart rate and breathing.
  
  It represents a high risk to health: insomnia, weight loss, aggression, and nasal septal perforations by the continued application to inhale.
  
  .- LSD is a semisynthetic alkaloid from a fungus.
  
  Disorders produce auditory, tactile, sensory experience feelings are new. Immediate effects include hallucinations as a 'journey'. It tends to develop mental disorders.
  
  Hashish or cannabis .- It is produced from the resin of hemp and bundled in making cigarette paper and mixed with snuff blonde, what is called "reefer" or "joint". Young people tend to smoke it new sensations but for many is the gateway to harder drugs.
  
  The drug causes red eyes, dry mouth, impaired memory and hinders the ability to connect with her. Those who are clueless consume are "drifters".
  
  Abusers of these drugs are aged between 16 and 24 years, obtained the substance in the street by a vendor or for his friends and the main motivation is encouraged to consume or curiosity.

  SMOKING.

  all this time im thinking your the realest person for me but all you have been is a fake.ever since i met you i thought you could be the one but  not
  so now i know you left me broken hearted n heartless
  it would take years to heal my broken heart n to learn how to trust again
