Peraturan Cribbage

GAMEPLAY

Card seniority is from King to Ace.

Beside cards, a special board with holes is used (30 holes in each of the 4 rows) and 4 colorful pegs (2 of each color) for marking the players' current scoring in the game.

Each player / pair of players has 2 pegs of one color, which move around a 60-hole track during the game.

The first peg is placed in the hole having scored a new point. Having scored another one, the second peg is placed in the hole which shows the number of points scored so far. Having scored another point, the first (rear) peg is moved to the hole marking the player's current total score, etc.

As a result one of the pegs always shows the current player's / pair of players' score, and the other one the points scored in the previous move.

The first peg position marking the number of points scored is in the lower holes of the outer tracks.

The game objective is to score 62 or 121 points, moving around the track once or twice.

There is no trump suit.

Players are dealt 6 cards each. When 2 people are playing, they should discard 2 cards each onto the so-called crib. The crib is four cards in the middle of the table.

When 4 people (two pairs) are playing, they are dealt 5 cards each. They discard only 1 card onto the crib.

One card is dealt face up on the top of the crib, which is called the starter. If the card is a jack, the dealer scores 2 points extra.

The game is started by the player on the left of the dealer, who leads one card.

Each player plays one card onto the face-up pile.

The total of points on the current face-up pile is always displayed on its right.

The seniority of cards:

Ace - 1 pt
2,3...10 - scoring according to the card rank, i.e. 2,3...10 pts
King, Queen, Jack - 10 pts each.

The player who scores 31 pts gets a point bonus. If, in the game, a player does not have the card to be played onto the pile in hand so as not to exceed the limit of 31 pts, he is said to be blocked.

The player who has blocked other players scores a point bonus. If players are unable to play any cards, they are said to "go", the pile is laid aside and another card starts a new pile

Having scored 31 pts, the cards are laid aside and another card starts a new pile.

The game is played until all the players get rid of the cards in hand.

SCORING

If the starter (the card face up on the top of the crib) is a jack, the dealer scores 2 pts.
For closing the pile with 31 pts a player / a pair of players scores 2 pts.
For blocking another player so that he could not play a card onto the pile - so called the last card - 1 pt.
For the pile value of 15 pts - 2 pts.
For the pair (two cards of the same rank played one on another) - 2 pts.
For the King pair (three cards of the same rank played one on another) - 6 pts.
For the double King pair (four cards of the same rank played one on another) - 12 pts.
For the Runs (the set of sequential cards, i.e. King, Queen, Jack) - the score is equal to the number of cards of the run. The run cards need not be placed in the sequential order; i.e. the set 2,5,4,3 is allowed, which is the run of 2,3,4,5. Adding another card to the run increases its value. WARNING!!! Ace, King and Queen are not a run (King and Queen score 10 pts, but Ace only 1 pt.)
At the dealing / show the dealer scores points for the crib calculated according to the rules above.

GAME OVER

The game is over when all the declared games (1,3,5,7 or 9) have been played. The player who has won the majority of games wins.
