AVOCADOS
Thanks to a friend of mine I had my very first avocado yesterday. She sent me 4 and I ate one not long after they got here. It was awesome! When I told my mail man I had a friend that was sending me some he nearly drawled. I have discovered something about avocados everyone either loves them or hates them. I have not found one single person that was in the middle. Everyone I talked to about them was either yummy or yuck. I find that sort of interesting. I loved it myself it had a buttery texture that was also similar to mashed potatoes and just the slightest artichoke taste to it. We do not really have fresh avocados in the grocery stores around here much. It was very sweet of my friend to send me some so I could taste them. THANK YOU MICHELLE. If I lived in Californian I could see me eating them on a regular bases. Thing is being the constant crafter like I am I then started looking for things you could make out of the pits. Did you know avocado pits are eatable, and that you can make ink and facials out of them? It does warn though that the taste may be a bit bitter. It says to grind it up in smoothies to help with the taste. It is amazing to me to realize how many things there are out there that I still have not experienced at my age. I truly wonder if there would be enough days in a lifetime for someone to experience every taste there is out there if you started very young. Well it is getting late and I am getting tired so I think I will go to bed now night all.
