It's with me in the morning,
At noon and at night.
It's the only freaken thing,
That causes me such fright.
It's with me when I floss and dress,
And even when I shower.
It's the only thing that seems to consume me,
And it has this great power.
It's with me during my morning smoke,
It's with me when I eat.
It's with me round the clock,
And it just seems so hard to beat.
It's with me when I'm alone,
And even when others are around.
If I don't get away from it soon,
It's going to drag me into the ground.
It's with me when I whisper,
Or when I talk real loud.
The times when I give it,
It makes me up so proud.
It's with me when I watch TV,
And even when I sing.
It usually doesn't phase me none,
But then there are times it does sting.
It's with me when I laugh,
It's with me when I cry.
It's with me when I tell the truth,
Or when I choose to lie.
It's with me through the good,
And especially through the bad.
It's with me when I'm overjoyed,
But even more when I'm sad.
It's with me all the freaken time,
It's completely, totally absurd.
If I knew the self-injury farewell term,
I'd be the first to stand and say that goodbye word.
It's with me twenty-four-seven,
As if it's a body part,
I wish that I could tear it off,
Cause it's definitely breaking my heart.

Take a look at yourself,
And see what's right in front of you.
Life isn't as long as you think,
And I could be gone tomorrow.

Everyone always says,
"Live every day, like it's your last."
I just figure you're gonna die;
Why not make it happen faster?

Sometimes I don't want that,
I just want to keep my life and move on.
But the first time I let that razor hit my wrist,
I didn't lose any hope or faith.

But I lost myself.
I died right there,
Some would think that's not true,
But that's just coming from someone who has a heart.

Life is much more complicated than people think,
And it takes so much more than a kiss to make things better.
Bandaids aren't the answer to lifes problems.
